Our Story
An initiative of the World Economic Forum, the Global Shapers community is a network of young leaders under 33 dedicated to addressing local, regional, and global challenges. With nearly 13,000 members across 500 Hubs in 150 countries, it goes beyond idea-sharing—its essence lies in driving tangible social impact through locally-led projects.
In cities around the world, Shapers voluntarily come together to design and implement initiatives that respond to the pressing needs of their communities.
These projects span a wide range of issues, from disaster relief to poverty alleviation and climate action. Despite their diverse backgrounds, expertise, and experiences, all Shapers are united by a shared commitment: to be proactive agents of change and shape a better future.
Lyon Hub
Lyon is a city rich in entrepreneurial and associative initiatives, with numerous innovative and impactful projects shaping its future. The Global Shapers Lyon Hub unites young talents committed to driving local change, particularly in education and professional integration.
Our team brings together members from diverse backgrounds, each contributing unique skills and perspectives. This diversity enables us to support and connect initiatives, amplifying their impact.
Ultimately, we strive to contribute to the region’s positive transformation, positioning Lyon as a model of innovation and engagement on both national and international levels.
Our team is currently leading four initiatives in partnership with SINGA, JOB IRL, Année Lumière, and AFEV, each varying in scope and impact.
